RUSNANO projects
RUSNANO Investments Will Expand Production of Application Units for Nanometer-Thick Modified Coatings
Units produced by the project initiator—Laboratory 23—are part of technology founded on the physics of deposition of nanometer coatings (PVD technology). According to forecasts by MarketResearch.com, in 2015 the global market for units using PVD technology will be $12.8 billion.
RUSNANO to Finance Production of Functional Nanostructured Coatings
Participants in the project, in addition to RUSNANO, are Technological Systems for Protective Coatings, government corporation Rosatom, and management company United Engine-Building Corporation. The total project budget is four billion rubles. RUSNANO will invest 1.22 billion rubles and hold a 49 percent share in the equity of the project company.
RUSNANO and Chinese Thunder Sky Team Up to Produce State-of-the-Art Li-Ion Batteries
The Supervisory Council of RUSNANO has approved the corporation’s participation in a project aimed at establishing the production of state-of-the-art lithium-ion batteries, the first in the country. The batteries in this collaborative undertaking will be targeted toward the growing market for green e-transportation, energy, telecommunications, and several other industrial areas.
RUSNANO Set for New Infrastructure Project: Equipment for Molecular Beam Epitaxy and Planar Processing
The Supervisory Council of RUSNANO has approved an infrastructure project that will produce manufacturing equipment for molecular beam epitaxy and planar processing. The total budget for the project is estimated at 630 million rubles; RUSNANO will invest up to 140 million rubles.
Technology Center for Three-Dimensional Assembly of Integrated Circuits to Open in Russia
A project to establish technology center for three-dimensional assembly of integrated circuits in Russia has secured approval from the Supervisory Council of RUSNANO. The technology for three-dimensional assembly of semiconductor elements, or 3D assembly, is one of today’s most promising methods for reducing the size of the integrated circuit. The technology makes it possible to combine components—digital and analog circuits, memory, and microelectromechanical systems—that have been produced with different technologies in one encasement.
RUSNANO to Finance Production of Thermoelectric Microcoolers
The Supervisory Council of RUSNANO has approved financing for a project to expand production of thermoelectric micro-cooling systems based on nano-sized particles of bismuth telluride for opto-, micro-, and nanoelectronics.
RUSNANO Will Promote Production of Powerful Diode Lasers
The budget for the project has been set at 2.150 billion rubles. RUSNANO will contribute 765 million rubles to owners’ equity of the new company. The remainder of the financing will come from attracting coinvestors.
RUSNANO invests in production of new generation high-efficiency solar power plants
The concentrator solar power plants will employ: 1) new generation of cascading solar cells, based on nanoheterostructures for photoelectric conversion of concentrated light; 2) Fresnel lenses, that provide 900-fold solar power concentration; 3) high-precision sun-tracking systems.
RUSNANO Supervisory Council approved a nanostructured non-metallic coatings project
The Supervisory Council of the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies (RUSNANO) approved the corporation’s participation in the project "Establishing a multifunctional production of porous nanostructured non-metallic inorganic materials".
Nanotechnology Centers—Opportunities for Profitable Private Investment
The Supervisory Council of the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies has approved the concept of RUSNANO nanotechnology centers—infrastructure complexes for commercialization of nanotechnology advances. These nanotechnology centers will distinguish themselves by concentrating sophisticated technological equipment and services (marketing, management, and information support) for incubating small innovative companies in one location.
