Production of Scanning Probe Microscopes Gets Boost from RUSNANO
The Supervisory Council of RUSNANO has approved the corporation’s participation in a project to widen production of measuring-analytical equipment for nanotechnology in material sciences, biology, and medicine. The project will bring existing production of scanning probe microscopes and atomic scales at Advanced Technologies Center, project initiator, to a new level of high-tech sophistication.
The total budget for the project is 387 million rubles.
RUSNANO to Help Expand Production of Unirem Paving Asphalt Modifier
The Supervisory Council of RUSNANO has approved a project to expand production of Unirem, a paving asphalt modifier developed and manufactured by Novy Kauchuk. The modifier raises the durability of pavements by 30 percent.
Total budget for the project is 1.85 billion rubles of which RUSNANO will invest 1.29 billion rubles, including 990 million rubles in loans.
RUSNANO Supports Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing for Age-Related Illnesses
The project to manufacture innovative drugs combating age-related diseases is based on pioneering work by V.P. Skulachev, member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and director of the A.N. Belozersky Research Institute of Physico-Chemical Biology. It recently won approval from the Supervisory Council of RUSNANO. The budget for the project will not exceed 1.83 billion rubles. RUSNANO will invest up to 710 million rubles.
RUSNANO Set to Invest in Drugs for Treating Cancer
The Supervisory Council of RUSNANO has approved a project to produce nanodrugs with targeted delivery for treatment of malignant neoplasms. Total budget for the project is 3.9 billion rubles of which RUSNANO will invest 1.299 billion rubles.
Elecard and RUSNANO Unite to Create Digital TV with Russian Technology
RUSNANO and Elecard Group of Tomsk, Russia will produce various electronic units using multimedia processors with technical norms of 90 nanometers to 65 nanometers.
RUSNANO Invests in Modernizing of Production of Pure Quartz Concentrates
As part of the new project, the project company will master manufacturing of quartz micro- and nanopowder and pure quartz concentrates. Quartz nanopowders, with particle size of less than 100 nanometers, have wide application in microelectronics and in construction and exploitation of oil and gas wells. Quartz micropowder, a cleaned product of pulverized natural quartz with particle size of less than 100 microns, is used as a filling medium during production of integrated circuits. Pure quartz concentrates are used in alternative energy, lighting engineering, semiconductors, and optics and fiber-optics.
RUSNANO Supervisory Council Approves Project for Nanostructured Magnesium Hydroxide with Modified Surface
The project’s goal is to organize production of a flame retardant (fireproofing additive)—nanostructured magnesium hydroxide with modified surface—and value added products of bromide and magnesium chloride. The budget for the project is 3.1 billion rubles. RUSNANO will contribute 167 million rubles to owners’ equity of the project company and provide up to 1.11 billion rubles in credit.
RUSNANO Takes a Medical Track: Investment in Manufacturing Drugs in Organic Nanopacks
As a result of implementing the project, in 2010–2015 a Russian company will establish original commercial production of medications that are without parallel in the entire world. The unique technology for fusing the most dissimilar drug substances in phospholipid nanoparticles was developed in the Russian Federation. It will enable the project company to enter the market with innovative and highly effective forms of medications in only one to two years, with minimal risk, and with a minimal budget.
Heart Values of New Generation Materials Draw Support from RUSNANO
As a result of project realization, current production of bicuspid heart valves will be expanded and small-batch production of innovative tricuspid heart valves will be initiated. The tricuspid heart valve, based on developmental work by company-applicant Roskardioinvest, has characteristics that closely resemble natural valves, particularly its ability to provide low resistance to blood flow and its low level of trombogenicity.
RUSNANO to Finance Production of Nanostructured Membranes and Separating Modules for Treating Water
The products to come from this project are membrane plating and membranous roll-fed modules that are used in the process of filtration and reverse osmosis.
