Certification

The Company will be rendering services in the sphere of certification to all concerned organizations. In order to perform this task the Company will establish its own certification center.

The Certification system is aimed at solving of the Company key tasks in the sphere of protection, standardization, certification and metrological provision of the nanoindustry. A system of voluntary certification will create a positive perception of nanoindustry products and their manufacturers on both foreign and domestic markets.

Our certification framework provides:

• certification of Russian and international standards compliance for nanoproducts and nanotechnologies at all stages of production and consumption;
• support of decision making for expert evaluation of the investment projects and their implementation with minimal risks;
• creating a positive public perception of reliability and safety of nanoproducts;
• certification of quality management systems of enterprises working in nanoindustry (ISO 9000);
• certification of ecological management systems of enterprises working in nanoindustry (ISO 14000).

The certification center provides an objective and independent evaluation of nanoindustry products according to specific parameters. It ensures the stability of these parameters in transition from small-scale manufacturing to serial production. The center also provides the testing of characteristics that go beyond the test prescribed and regulated by current national and international standards for nanoproducts.

RUSNANO was founded in March 2011 as an open joint stock company through reorganization of state corporation Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies. RUSNANO's mission is to develop the Russian nanotechnology industry through co-investment in nanotechnology projects with substantial economic potential or social benefit. The Government of the Russian Federation owns 100 percent of the shares in RUSNANO. Anatoly Chubais is CEO and chairman of the Executive Board of RUSNANO.

Work to establish nanotechnology infrastructure and training for nanotechnology specialists, formerly conducted by the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies, has been entrusted to the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs, a non-commercial fund also established through reorganization of the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies.
