The diversity and scale of tasks which Russia’s nanoindustry face requires broad training and retraining of specialists in science, applied fields, entrepreneurship, finances, jurisprudence, and management.

The Corporation develops educational programs that support the projects in which it co-invests. These programs are designed to bridge personnel gaps in the most rapidly developing market areas.

The Corporation together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the concerned organizations will evaluate the demand for specialists within the nanoindustry.

It is necessary to pay particular attention to interdisciplinary aspects of personnel training and retraining. Specialists should acquire knowledge and gain experience which will enable them to work proficiently throughout each stage of the innovation pipeline: fundamental research ¯ technological developments ¯ commercialization of technology ¯ introduction of nanoproducts into markets.

Corporation educational project types:

  • Predicting the demand for specialists in the nanoindustry;
  • Determining the need for specialists in fields critically important for progress in nanoindustry and creating a reliable source of such specialists (students);
  • Support for programs of training and retraining for specialists in the field of nanotechnology and innovation management;
  • The development of an educational infrastructure;
  • Assimilate and popularize the best world practices of training of specialists in the field of innovation. This implies the active involvement of leading world specialists into local educational projects, research and commercialization of technologies;
  • International cooperation in educational processes;
  • Provide access to scientific equipment in the nanotechnology centers of excellence for educational purposes;
  • Develop educational standards, programs of professional training and retraining, curricula, text-books and other educational literature.

The Corporation encourages the establishment of educational clusters that provide interdisciplinary education, training and retraining of specialists required for all stages of the nanoindustry innovation pipeline. All of the educational activities above are designed to support all and any projects into which the Corporation sees fit to invest.
